There Goes The Neighborhood

In the later 1600s to the late 1700s the colonization of the Americas were beginning to move west. Before the Revolution occurred many colonists were taking advantage of the wilderness to try to find rare resources and explore. This caused anger among the Indians because they felt as though they were being invaded and taken advantage of. Earlier, before the French had been defeated by the British, the Indians didn't mind colonization because it improved trade. However, once the French lost the war, a wave of British flooded in to explore the once French controlled area. This didn't settle well with the Indians because the British were farmers, which meant flattening and stripping the land of its natural traits. A good example of their anger to this was the Pontiac Rebellion where several tribes banded together and used physical means of removing the invaders. Although peace was made, the Indian's land was still being colonized. Their sacred land that meant so much to them in life style and beliefs was being ruined, hence them looking at colonizers more as invaders and thieves.

Other than those grammar errors and recommendations, I would say the story is great. It is historically accurate, and it seems as if you are telling a story of history, rather than just regurgitating facts and whatnot. Also, you give your own opinions of how the Natives felt, which is also most likely accurate, considering most burned down their own villages so the Spanish cannot take it over. Great historical accuracy and a good use of imagery, but a few grammar mistakes!
